BSc(Exercise Science), MSc(PT)

Holly grew up in Vancouver, BC, before moving to Halifax to complete her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University where she received the Jan Leonard Prize for the student with the highest academic standing, clinical skills, and work ethic. Prior to pursuing a career in physiotherapy, Holly played 7 years on the Canadian National Field Hockey team, representing her country in 99 international games and appearing at major tournaments such as the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, where she helped her team to a silver medal. Since retiring from professional sport, Holly remains active, with a love for trail running, road cycling, and mountain biking. She also volunteers for the Dalhousie Field Hockey team in a dual role as team physiotherapist and assistant coach.

Holly believes in an individualized approach to assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, reflecting each patient’s unique background and goals. She enjoys working with diverse populations, spanning from elite athletes and “weekend warriors” to older adults at increased risk of falls. She uses a combination of exercise-based and manual therapy techniques to help her patients recover from injury. In addition, Holly completed her Physiotherapy Residency at the Halifax Infirmary in the neurology unit. In this position, she obtained a valuable skill set in providing rehabilitation to individuals after stroke and spinal cord injuries. Holly values the principle of lifelong learning and is pursuing continuing education in sport physiotherapy and orthopedics.
