Heidi Kent

Heidi Kent is originally from Churchill Falls, NL, and completed her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University. She began her post-secondary education at Memorial University of Newfoundland where she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts and then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science from Mount Saint Vincent University. Since graduating she has worked in private clinics as well as at the Halifax Infirmary in Acute Care Rehabilitation.

Heidi bases her practice on a client centered approach, focusing on spending time with each client ensuring meaningful and quality care. Heidi understands the importance of getting to know each client and working to tailor treatment and exercise programs to best fit individual lifestyles. Throughout this process, she spends time educating and encouraging clients to take a hands-on approach to their rehabilitation and treatment.

Heidi believes in furthering her education to ensure that she is current and up to date in the field of Physiotherapy. She continues to participate in on-going training to provide a variety of comprehensive treatments including manual therapy, individualized home exercise programs, and modalities for pain and inflammation.

Throughout her time working at the Halifax Infirmary, Heidi gained extensive experience in providing Physiotherapy treatment for individuals with a variety of cardiorespiratory conditions. She is excited to offer another form of Physiotherapy treatment to our Beaverbank physiotherapy clients living with COPD, Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma and many other respiratory conditions.

In her spare time, Heidi can be found hiking, strength training, running and spending time with friends and family.
