Cody Timmons
BSc(KIN), MSc(PT)
Originally from right here in Lower Sackville, Cody completed his Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University. Prior to his Masters, Cody completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick where he played on the UNB Reds Volleyball team and competed at the 2013 Canada Games. Physiotherapy was a crucial part of allowing Cody to compete at an elite level and sparked an interest in human movement early in his education.
Cody holds a strong background in exercise prescription and uses it to take a holistic approach to improve strength and mobility to optimize movement patterns. His treatments focus on individualized exercise routines supplemented with manual therapy and patient education to optimize function. Cody is certified in therapeutic dry needling and areas of advanced integrated musculoskeletal therapy; he has an expanding interest in continuing education in movement systems impairments and how to apply this to a variety of populations.
Cody loves working with patients of all ages and lifestyles. He has experience in athletes of various sports and activities – specifically fitness and jumping athletes. His primary goal is to correct kinesthetic imbalances and improve movement, so his patients can live an increasingly active lifestyle. Finally, Cody likes to keep things light, he believes in creating a friendly environment for patients to feel comfortable and enjoy the physiotherapy experience.
