Groin Strain:
A strain is the result of an injury to a muscle or tendon. This injury could be a stretch or tear of the muscle or tendon. A groin strain is an injury to the muscles of the inner thigh. The groin muscles are also known as the adductor muscles. The adductor muscles consist of six muscles that span from the inner pelvis to the inner part of the thighbone. These muscles pull the legs together and help with other movements of the hip joint.

Treatment includes:
Education about the condition and how to avoid making it worse.

Therapeutic modalities to improve circulation and/or reduce inflammation and pain such as ultrasound, laser, interferential current, electrical muscle stimulation, acupuncture.

Exercises to stretch or strengthen the appropriate muscles.

Manual therapy to improve the movement in the area.
